Finally it is weekend...let's have a small feast in office.
Start with meat pie and perfect sumateran coffee.
Meat Pie.
Double crust pie dough.
1. 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour (better chill it first)
2. 1 cup / 225 gr unsalted butter or margarine, cut into pieces (if using margarine or salted butter, no need salt)
3. 1/2 tsp salt
4. 1/4 cup chill water
5. 1 large egg fresh directly from fridge.
How to :
1. In a large bowl, add flour, butter and salt, using fork combine this ingredient, or you can use food processor it will be faster. Add water and egg, combine this until it form a dough. Wrap it with plastic and refrigerate for about 30 minute.
2. Roll it for 9 inch (22 cm) pie plate, fridge it again for another 30 minute and then put parchment paper fill with beans on the center (i am using smaller tea plate) and baked for 20 minute, 180degC.
Filling :
1. 5 Large egg
2. 1 cup minced meat (here i am using cornet beef)
3. 1 large onion, 2 cloves garlic ( dice into small pieces)
4. 1 tsp rosemary (no need if you dont like)
5. 1 tsp salt (as u like)
6. 1/2 cup milk
7. Cheddar cheese (as u like)
How to :
1. Melt butter, add onion, garlic and meat, cook.
2. In a bowl, add egg, milk, salt, grated cheese, whisk together until combine. Add cooked meat.
3. Fill in pie dough and baked for about 30-40 minute.
